We thought you would appreciate our sharing an extract from a letter received recently from a school that is benefiting from our sponsorship programme, Graeme Naish School:
“We greet you in the name of Jesus Christ with great and deep love. We thank you for the time you have been supporting us and especially for the land on which our school is built. Thank you for the emergency medical fund which has helped many children to be treated for illnesses that could have become serious. Thank you also for the medical team that came with Mr Lawrance Titterton in April this year – many children and their parents received treatment and health checks. The spectacles you brought with you are also helping many people who could not see properly – now they can see and read.
We are getting ready to plant Irish Potatoes and have cleared the fields for this purpose.
We now have 11 Batwa children enroled in our school but they are still finding it difficult to attend regularly because they live more than 10 kilometres away from the school and have a difficult and unsafe walk to get here. We accommodated them in a rented house but the owner needed it back. We would now like to build another house for the purpose of the Batwa children boarding, and we request that you help us with iron sheets for the roof if the community undertakes the building. The current enrolment of the school is 68 children: 32 boys and 36 girls. We have 6 teachers, one cleaner, a cook and a matron as staff.
Thank you very much for helping God’s needy people. May the Lord bless you and bless whatever you do.
We remain yours faithfully,
Graeme Naish School”
